New Work
In a world that—especially now—feels unpredictable and overwhelming, my work in Taming Chaos seeks to create moments of balance and clarity. This series begins in the raw, unfiltered space where chaos reigns. Each piece emerges from an initial burst of energetic disorder: spontaneous marks, unruly colors, and shapes that refuse to be contained.
Early in the process, I often turn to alcohol inks, whose luminous fluidity makes them both thrilling and unruly to work with. They spread, merge, and shift in ways that can be neither fully predicted nor controlled. I enter each new work without a fixed endpoint, allowing the materials to guide my response. The process becomes a conversation—between accident and design, between chaos and order.
As the layers build, I introduce structure: lines that direct the eye, shapes that anchor the composition, patterns that create rhythm. In this gradual shaping, the untamed elements find form, and a sense of harmony begins to emerge. This is not about erasing disorder, but engaging with it—allowing its vitality to remain visible while transforming it into something intentional and resonant.
In life, as in art, chaos is inevitable. It is the starting point, the raw material from which meaning is made. The act of taming it is not suppression but translation—turning unpredictability into expression, turbulence into clarity.
Ultimately, Taming Chaos is both a visual and emotional practice. It mirrors the way we navigate our own lives: accepting what cannot be controlled, making choices where we can, and finding beauty in the spaces between. Each completed work is not a perfect resolution, but a moment of balance—a reminder that harmony is possible, even in the most unpredictable of circumstances.
